WORKSHOP OVERVIEW
The Edit Lab is a 5-day intensive hosted by D Post Office & Twin Island Company, built to take aspiring editors in Trinidad & Tobago from fundamentals to industry-ready creatives. Each day covers a different stage of the craft: workflow, cutting, color, VFX, and more through hands-on projects, guided feedback, and direct tutorials.
WORKSHOP AGENDA
DAY 1
Foundations & Workflow
Software intro (Premiere, Resolve, After Effects), file organization, hard drives, and workflow templates — plus the basics of the cut and a conversation on work ethic and reliability.
DAY 2
Cutting, Syncing, Pacing
Multi-cam sync, dialogue cuts, and rhythm & pacing techniques suited to your project's genre. Final assignment given at the end of the day.
DAY 3
File Types & Color Grading
Color science across RAW, ProRes, and LUTs, DaVinci Resolve basics, skin tones, color theory, and exporting — working across multiple software with ease.
DAY 4
FEEDBACK & Work Day
Group editing session, one-on-one feedback rounds, export settings for broadcast and social delivery.
DAY 5
VFX, AI, & Editing Showcase
AE motion graphics, green screen, tracking, final showcase & critique.

ABOUT THE HOST
Josiah Persad
Josiah Persad is a Trinidadian-American film director and editor based in Atlanta, GA. With 12+ years experience directing and editing music videos, commercials, and branded content for major artists and brands across the Caribbean and U.S.
He now runs Twin Island Company LLC, producing work across the region and building the pipeline this workshop feeds directly into.
